A Decade of Crisis

Dear subscribers,

This is just to let you know that one of our members, Dr Dave Hitchcock, has written a fantastic essay for History Workshop on the current funding crisis in the UK university sector. In the piece, Dave identifies the crisis as a decade in the making, and makes a compelling case for approaching the sector as an interdependent, interconnected system instead of in the atomised, individualised manner that has dominated over the past ten years. It’s a sobering but hopeful piece, and we thought we’d share it with you in case you hadn’t already seen it.
